Chino Youth Christmas Parade & Fair
The City of Chino invites you and your family to have fun at the Chino Youth Christmas Parade and Fair. Come celebrate the holiday season with a decorated entry competition celebrating Chino's youth. Immediately following the Parade, visit City Hall for the Holiday Fair and Carnival. The Chino Youth Christmas Parade and Fair is a yearly event held the second Saturday of December.

Event Activities
Youth Parade
- Starts at 9 am
- On the corner of Riverside Drive and Monte Vista Avenue, heads east on Riverside Drive, south on Central Avenue, and ends at Chino Avenue
Craft Fair
- 9 am to 2 pm
- In the Senior Center and Library parking lots
Carnival Rides
- 9 am to 2 pm
- At the Civic Center on D Street between 7th and 6th Streets
Family Entertainment
- 11 am to 2 pm
- On the steps of City Hall at the corner of Central Avenue and D Street
Santa's Village at the Chino Youth Museum
- 9 am to 2 pm
- Free admission to the Youth Museum on the corner of 6th and D Streets. Pictures with Santa, crafts, games, cookie decorating, and more
Great Food
- 9 am to 2 pm
- Enjoy delicious food from various food vendors at the Civic Center on the corner of Central Avenue and D Street
Participant Information
Interested in entering your group as a participant for the Chino Youth Christmas Parade? Please stop by the Carolyn Owens Community Center Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5:30 pm to receive the application packet or compile your own complete packet with the documents below.
Decorated Entry Judging
Complete the Decorated Entry Judging Form if your group would like to be included in the Decorated Entry Competition. Awards will be given to the top float in the following categories:
- Best use of theme
- Best overall walking entry
- Best overall vehicle/float

Food Vendor Information
If you are interested in becoming a Food Vendor for the Chino Youth Christmas Parade and Fair, please complete the Food Vendor Application and submit the required documents.
Applications may also be picked up at the Carolyn Owens Community Center, 13201 Central Avenue.
Required Documents
- City of Chino Vendor Application and Waiver
- Provide proof of Temporary Food Facility Health Permit with the San Bernardino County Department of Environmental Health Services
- City of Chino one-day temporary permit or provide proof of Annual Business License
- Provide proof of $1 million liability insurance listing the City of Chino as an additional insured
- Provide proof of State Board of Equalization seller's permit for temporary location

Volunteer Information
The City of Chino is always in need of volunteers for the parade. A volunteer's hours range from 6 am to 4:30 pm. Assignments include parade marshals, vendor assistants, fair assistants, and help with set-up and clean-up:
Parade Route Volunteers
- Shift range 7 am to Noon
- Volunteers will assist with parade route duties/tasks, set-up and clean-up. Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time. Minimum age 14; 12 to 13 year old accompanied by an adult volunteer
Craft Fair Volunteers
- Shift Range 6 to 8 am and 3 to 4:30 pm.
- Volunteers will assist with set-up and take down of EZ-Ups; assist vendors with unloading/loading merchandise from vendor vehicles to/from vendors assigned booth. Minimum age 16

You can increase your exposure to the community by contributing to the success of special events, like the Chino Youth Christmas Parade and Fair. The Chino Youth Christmas Parade and Fair is Chino's longest running special event and the annual event attracts over 10,000 participants.
