The Equipment Management Section is an operating unit of the Public Works Services Division whose primary objective is maintaining the City's fleet. Services provided include the maintenance and repair of City vehicles and equipment such as sedans, light and heavy duty trucks, trailers, tractors and miscellaneous equipment. Staff maintains the safety and regulatory compliance of the city's fleet and fleet infrastructure.
In addition to being responsible for the maintenance for over 228 City vehicles and numerous pieces of mobile equipment, the Equipment Management Section oversees the procurement of necessary vehicles and equipment as approved by the City's annual budget. The section also oversees asset management, budgeting and reporting (including vehicle and equipment replacement), scheduling and forecasting.
