I am honored to serve as Chief of Police for the great City of Chino. It is a thriving community of 75,000 residents serviced by a Police Department of 102 sworn officers, 51 civilian support staff and 95 volunteers.
We are committed to reducing crime in all areas of our community - both violent crimes and property crimes. However, we cannot do this alone. Our commitment to reducing crime requires a Community Oriented Government approach; a working partnership between City Elected Officials, City Department Staff, School District Personnel, Business Community Members and residents. I encourage every citizen to be a part of this cooperative effort. Your involvement can be as simple as being a good neighbor and staying informed about your community. Or, you may choose to attend the Police Department's Citizen Academy to learn more about the inner-workings of your police department. Finally, you may want to join one of our volunteer units and come alongside us as we serve this community.
I believe the men and women of the Chino Police Department to be some of the finest officers and employees you will find anywhere. They are dedicated to doing the right thing and providing the highest level of customer service. I am proud of the Department, its employees and the relationship we have with this community. Working together, we can make a difference.
Sincerely,
Stan Stewart
