The Crisis Negotiations Team is comprised of seven members of the Chino Police Department. Each member is highly trained in the fine art of Crisis Negotiations. This team works hand-in-hand with the SWAT team to peacefully resolve potentially hazardous situations.

C.N.T. members form a partnership with person in crisis and help them solve their problem. Their primary objectives are the preservation of life and the peaceful surrender of the person in crisis. Their motto is: "We resolve situations by being swift to listen and slow to speak."
