The Chino Police Explorer Program is designed to give young persons from the age of 14-20 an inside look into the exciting and challenging career of Law Enforcement.

Our program is intense and challenging, both mentally and physically. We believe that if we are truly going to give you a fair and honest example of what Law Enforcement represents, we must stress the importance of every aspect of what police work requires on a continual basis. It is overseen by a team of experienced and dedicated Police Officers that have had the opportunity to watch several of its members achieve highly successful careers in the field of Law Enforcement.

A desire to serve in Law Enforcement is not a requirement. What is required is an utmost dedication to moral and ethical conduct with a desire to serve the Chino community with respect and professionalism.

Participants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be 14 years old and have completed eighth grade.
Enrolled in School with a 2.0 GPA and no failing grades or unsatisfactory grades in Citizenship.
No serious arrest or contacts with the Police.
Be in good physical condition with weight in proportion to height.
Have parent or guardian approval.
Successfully pass a background check.
Graduate from the Explorer Training Center Academy within one year.
